American Heart Association HEART HERO Challenge
Over the past two weeks, the students at Jasper County Primary School have been completing their American Heart Association HEART HERO challenge in their physical education class with Coach Huff. They are currently learning healthy habits/exercises that promote living a healthy lifestyle. They have been completing daily HEART HERO challenges made by Coach Huff. Students who raised over 100 dollars were able to sign the HEART HERO wall of champions and have their pictures taken. Those students are Lyrick Arnold, Gunnar Banks, Kinsley Farley, Bryson Floody, Kaidence Futral, Eden Jackson, Colton Jones, Lagan Kimble, Braylen Layton, Jonathan Lease, Lula Murdock, Loralei Smith, and Jordan Grace Whittle. SUPER HEART HERO Gunnar Banks who raised over 1,000 dollars! The JCPS school goal was to raise over 5,000 dollars and the students completed that goal and some. Coach Huff and the administration want to thank everyone who donated to support the American Heart Association.

JCPS Celebrates Read Across America with a Family Fun Night!
Jasper County Primary School hosted a night of family fun on Tuesday, March 1st to celebrate Read Across America! The event included BINGO for Books where the students had the opportunity to win FREE books! Coach Ethan Huff created an obstacle course in the school activity room for students to enjoy during the event. JCPS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Coordinator, Shelley Tingler, designed STEM activities related to literature. Students were given supplies to create their own insects. Pizza and drinks were available for purchase, and JCPS Media Specialist, Kimberly Attaberry and professional, Mrs. Linda McClain, hosted a Bargain Bookfair in the Media Center! JCPS also provided activities for at-home sight word practice and math games for the families to play at home with their children. Many families joined the JCPS faculty and staff for this exciting event! As always, JCPS is very thankful for family and community participation!
