  • Jasper County Primary School is THANKFUL for our community volunteers! Each week, 19 community volunteers spend time reading with 2nd grade students.  There are 37 students who have the opportunity to read with community volunteers to build their reading fluency, increase their vocabulary, and work to improve their reading comprehension.  During the week of November 18th-22nd, JCPS teachers and staff provided a sweet treat along with a special breakfast for volunteers and their readers to show their appreciation. The volunteers and students spent time reading together and celebrating students' success and growth over the past semester!  JCPS teachers and staff greatly appreciate the commitment to our students shown by these community volunteers! We hope to continue this partnership in the future as it has proven to be beneficial for our readers! JCPS loves our community and are truly THANKFUL for the support of numerous community members! Over the past couple of weeks, 2nd graders at JCPS have been studying the states of matter (solids, liquids, and gasses). In order to think like a scientist, they had to dress the part too! Ms. Murray’s students enjoyed a science experiment where they carved pumpkins, poured baking soda (a solid) into the jack-o-lantern, and then added vinegar and food coloring (liquids) to create bubbles (a gas).

  • The Georgia Parent Survey was developed to measure parent perceptions of school climate at your child’s school. Your opinion is very important to us. Your survey responses are confidential and will be combined with the survey responses of other parents at your child’s school to identify areas in need of improvement. It should only take ten or fifteen minutes to complete the survey. Thank you for your time and participation.
